With our precision Express Dual cylinder grinder, we can sharpen lawnmower cylinders up to 36 inches. We have a separate grinder designed specifically for sharpening the bottom blades of cylinder mowers, and another grinder for QX cassette mowers.
As well as sharpening the cylinder and bottom blade we will set the blades. The blades on the cylinder bear against the bottom blade and when set up correctly should be able to cut paper along the entire length of the cylinder. As well as being no gap, the pressure should not be too high as the blades will wear quickly and generate heat.
Also, the bottom blade must lie parallel to the axis of the cylinder or you will get an uneven cut.
